Kim is working as press coordinator for Hollywild Animal Park (www.hollywild.com) and continues work on a series of novels. She is excited about the upcoming release of her book, written with friend and coauthor Candy Arrington, When Your Aging Parent Needs Care - Practical Help for the Season of Life, set to be released by Harvest House Publishers September 1, 2009.
Book Writing Interests:
Non-Fiction: biographies for children or adults, ghostwriting autobiographies, medical and scientific issues. She is particularly interested in pursing work on projects that help children and parents understanding medical challenges they face.
Speaking Engagements: Kim is available as a speaker for presentations about caring for aging parents. A strong advocate of family involvement in caregiving, Kim willingly shares tips and her personal experiences. While delving into serious issues she maintains a perspective that allows her to share her passion for finding the blessings in the midst of trial and the humor that in variably comes along the way.
Additional Professional Interests: Kim would love the opportunity to read for audio books for adults and children. “I love reading dramatically to my own children and loved doing the same when I was teaching. Words are wonderful, but when you add vocal expression, a story comes to life in new and exciting ways,” Kim says.
Kim taught in public schools for seven years before “coming home” to
raise her children and pursue her passion for writing.
She is interested in writing about issues in the
classroom and new methodologies for successful teaching practices.
